Chapter One: The Sound of a New Beginning: Music and Dance in the Khmer Wedding The traditional Khmer wedding, or Pithi Reap Ka (ពិធីរៀបការ), is one of the most significant and beautiful ceremonies in Cambodian culture. It is not a single event, but a rich and complex tapestry of rituals performed over several days, each one laden with deep symbolism and ancient tradition.
